Potato Chips

I just went to get my fairly regular snack of cherry coke and potato chips from the snack machines. Occasionally I'll feel spontaneous and get cookies, but not today. All I had was a 5 dollar bill, and I hate quarters, so I was a little hesitant. But I went for it. I put my dollar in the machine and typed 114. I waited for the machine to drop my potato chips for me. But then, the chips never fell, they were hanging, but out of reach.

I figured there were 4 ways to look at it. I'll name these after the Hogwarts houses for simplicity's sake. I could do it the Slytherin way and smash open the machine, getting my revenge and all of the potato chips I could ask for. That way is sorta illegal, so I passed on it. I could do it the Gryffindor way and valiantly shake the machine until they fell, but those things weren't moving. There was the Hufflepuff option. I could go find somebody to help me. But then what if somebody took them while I was gone. No, I had to go with the Ravenclaw way. I reasoned since I buy potato chips fairly regularly, I could buy one and save a bag for another day, and hopefully the second bag would carry the first down with it.

So, I placed my damn quarters in the machine and typed 1-1-4 again. It half worked, my first bag fell, but now my second bag was hanging. I figured why not try again, I'll definitely buy chips again. Why not now? So I pressed the buttons again and my 2nd and 3rd bags fell. I shouted yes. Much to the surprise of the girl behind me, I was victorious. And let me just say the potato chips in that first bag were the best potato chips I've ever had!
